my OVMS is up and running. I can see the charging but not much i can do in my Kona. Lock and unlock do not work neiter to stop charging and what is valet mode? . I have put in PIN in the settings but not possible to lock unlock the car

Did you enable CAN writes in the features section?

yes i wrote now in the shell : "config set xkn canwrite" and yes somethings happens :-) its now possible to unlock the car , but sorry to say not possible to lock the car, it clicks in the doors but they are still open (and mirrors out) any idea what the problem is now?
With the app i can now excute unlock and yes the car will open but when I or passenger open the door the signal horn start to beep like a larm and I must press the car key to stop. To lock the car its not possible, its just got a mechanical click and nothing happens. Any idea what to do?
I'm sorry but the door unlocking does not turn off the alarm, I have not tested the lock function myself. I think it's inherited from the KIA Soul and doesn't work as expected on the e-Niro.
I will not experiment with CAN writes on my car, so I think this is the status of the function right now. The CAN busses in e-Niro are behind a firewall so it's very hard to scan the write functions.

Just enter it into the console shell. Available in the apps, or web interface.
