I am sorry that this is a bit off topic. One of my children is working on a University project to design an electric car and has been tasked with specifying the Vehicle Management System for the vehicle. If you look at Systems diagrams of an EV, many include a VMS.
I own a Twizy with a Powerbox (please do not judge me) and i think I understand its basic function, that is it changes settings in the SEVCON but I have never seen Vehicle Management Systems discussed, which got me thinking.
Do most EVs have a Vehicle Management System? And, if they do,
What do they do?
What does it look like?
What is a typical specification, inputs out puts etc?
And, does my Twizy have one?
Any pointers welcome
