Troubleshooting hardware errors, possibly broken sevcon

Hello,

 

I'm having trouble with my Twizy. It stopped working while driving, and got error on traction battery. I bought the OVMS to help troubleshoot the problem.

I opened the traction battery and found the 5A fuse blown. Replaced this, and tested: Still nogo. The fuse blew again.

Tested the 10A and 40A relays, they worked fine. 50A and 500A fuse is also ok.

I installed a 7.5A fuse instead of 5A. Now the sevcon started to report problems:

 

SEVCON Fault 0x5442 [Return to Base]: Calibration Fault
Info: Calibration settings in controller are out of range
Action: Controller requires recalibration in production

SEVCON Fault 0x5044 [Very Severe]: Dynamic Range Error
Info: At least one configuration object is out of dynamic range. This is where one objects range depends on another object.
Action: Check all dynamic range objects. Engineering DVT CLI window indicates type of object which is out of range.

SEVCON Fault 0x4f41 [Severe]: Internal Fault
Info: Internal software fault
Action: Internal software fault

SEVCON Fault 0x5441 [Return to Base]: Incompatible hardware version
Info: Detected controller hardware version incompatible with software
Action: Check correct software is programmed into controller. Reprogram if necessary

SEVCON Fault 0x4581 [Warning]: Throttle Fault (Warn)
Info: Warning level throttle fault. Used for Renault Twizy
Action: Check throttle wiring and installation.

SEVCON Fault 0x4602 [Warning]: Device too hot
Info: High heatsink temperature (0x5100;4) has reduced power to motor
Action: Allow controller to cool down to normal operating temperature.

SEVCON Fault 0x4588 [Warning]: Analogue Output Short Circuit (warn)
Info: Contactor driver MOSFET short circuit detected
Action: Internal hardware fault

SEVCON Fault 0x4f54 [Severe]: Autozero range error
Info: Current sensor auto-zero current out of range
Action: Internal hardware fault

 

 

Is the sevcon broken beyond repair?

Removed it today...  it was melted around the B- pin. Getting a new old one.
