Only charging at 11A - Setting current with OVMS fails

We recently upgraded from a level 1 charger to a 32A level 2 charger at home.  In particular we have a Pion Power Flex-AC Elite 32A.  After plugging in to the new charger the car will only charge at 11.4 to 11.6A.  The current limit on the charger is set to 32A, so initially my thoughts are that the issue is somehow with our Leaf.  Up until now I've never paid much attention to the charger settings as we only had a 15A 120V circuit to charge on, but now I would really like to be able to at least get close to the 6.6kW I've read we should be able to charge at.

When I try to manually set the charge current in OVMS by issuing "charge current 20" (or any other number) I get the message "Error: Charge current limit functionality not available" and the charging current is not changed.

Am I missing something obvious here?

I found that somehow, despite

I found that somehow, despite the Pion app showing the current limit was 32A, it was actually set at 12A.  I was able to get it to take the new value by manually starting a charge session instead of leaving it in intelligent mode and once set my car now charges at 27A as expected.  I'm still confused why I can't set the charge current through the app, is it not supported on the Leaf?
