I have this OVMS that is something in the order of 5 or 6 years old. It has the latest firmware. The trouble I am having is this module keeps reverting to default settings. When this happens, it goes offline when it is in the car and then I have to set up the OVMS all over again because it will not restart from the cars 12 volt source.
Could the cellular modem cause this thing to act up? This acts up on all versions of firmware, from the original version to the latest. It worked great for the longest time and then started acting stupid. I do not use the cellular part of the modem for data, just the GPS part for location. I always have some kind of WiFi or MiFi for the OVMS to connect too.
Any help would be great as I like to keep tabs on what my 2013 Smart is doing.
