Vauxhall Vivaro e

Does anyone know if there are plans to make the OVMS available for the Vauxhall Vivaro-e (or its clones the Citroen Despatch, Peugeot Expert, Toyota Proace or Fiat Scuzy). We have just bought a Vivaro e and are in the process of converting it to a campervan.

OVMS development is mostly driven by developers driving or using a specific vehicle themselves.

If you can't find a developer interested in this in the Vivaro-e forums, you can ask another OVMS developer (like Mark or me) to provide an initial implementation. It usually helps if you can raise some donations to support the effort.

Any vehicle implementation depends on available technical info on the vehicle internals, i.e. devices, buses, diagnostic access, data protocols and PID / register descriptions. So you should try to gather as much as possible of that info first.

If no public info is available yet, you may need to do the PID detection / analysis yourself. That can be done using the OVMS RE tools (reverse engineering), but needs at least basic technical knowledge and probably quite some time.

Well I'm another Vivaro E

Well I'm another Vivaro E Life user do there could be more of us wishing to help the cause :-)

Well I was just about to post then saw this thread :-)

if there isn't anything available for the stelantis cars is there any other systems/OBD2 n app that works?

When you talk of donations, what scope are we looking at?

regards and thanks in advance.

Talking about a suitable donation amount is pointless without first getting the info necessary to do an implementation.

The effort necessary to implement an initial support then depends on the quality of that info and the complexity of the vehicle communication. If it's plain OBD2 or CANopen, it may be easy, if it needs some custom protocol, it will be hard.

Another Vivaro e driver here,

Another Vivaro e driver here, I bought the OVM device, just assuming it would at least give something as a generic ODBII vehichle, but nothing, so now I don't know what to do.

OBDII only defines standard PIDs for internal combustion engine vehicles.

If you're willing to do a low level CAN bus / PID search, follow my guide:

Citroen e-Jumpy

Hello,

I am another new user of PSA platform with a Citroen e-Jumpy XL 75kWh, a base for a campervan. I am very interested about OVMS. So I would like to know what results you get from OVMS for your vehicles (vivaro-e, e-jumpy, ...).

Register interest.

Hi Devon_Skylark, how far did you get with this? And where can I point people towards to register their interest in such a development project?
