GSM modem don'y work any more

Hello, since a few days, the GSM modem of my OVMS don't work anymore. I have tested the sim card (a 2€/month Free Mobile card) with a celular phone, it is OK for voice, SMS and data.

See below the modem status :

MODEM Status Model: auto Network Registration: Unknown Provider: Signal: 0 dBm Mode: State: PoweringOn Mux: Not running PPP: Not running GPS: Not running

Thank you for your help, congrats. Pascal

What version of a) modem, and

What version of a) modem, and b) firmware are you using? The modem should be either SIM5360 (2G,3G or SIM7600 (2G, 3G, 4G).

Is the little blue light on the modem blinking? Please ensure you have it powered either from the car, or a powered USB hub (not just a normal low power USB port).

It's a SIM5360E, Firmware: 3

It's a SIM5360E, Firmware: 3.3.002/ota_0/main (build idf v3.3.4-848-g1ff5e24b1b Mar 7 2022 07:33:16), no blue light blinking (powered by the car)

Firmware version should be ok.

The SIM5360E is a 2G/3G module. Are you sure there are any 2G or 3G networks left in your area (as most have been shutdown already)?

Other than that, you can get a 'module summary' a raise a support ticket here for us to check.

Your logs/summary seem to

Your logs/summary seem to indicate that the modem cannot power on. Are you powering this from the car's 12v, or from USB? If from 12v (as it seems) then likely the modem has failed. If within 1 year of purchase, can do warranty claim, or purchase replacement 4G modem.
