Having installed OVMS just a few days ago in a Smart EQ 2019, I find that whenever the car is used I get a notification every 15 minutes on the Andoid phone application that "Vehicle is being transported while parked". How can this happen, and what can I do about it? The app shows "P 4 days" at top left of the screen even though the location tab shows the true location of the vehicle on its journey.
It sounds like OVMS is not aware it is ON and in drive. Perhaps try rebooting the module, and if that doesn't work check the data cable and metrics are updating in OVMS.
OK I unplugged and replugged the cable into the module. The plug does not feel very secure in the socket, and it does not latch into it like the dust cover does. Is that normal? The cable connection into the module is firm but I nipped the screws a bit tighter anyway. I don't know what to look for in the console so I'll see if the alert resumes tomorrow whan I take the car out.
Replugging OVMS seems to have cured the false theft notifications, thank you. Could this be related to the issue we are separately discussing in ticket 4004?
The false theft warnings began again yesterday. I have replugged the module connection twice and restarted OVMS from the phone application, but I still get these warnings a few times per day rather than every 15 minutes.
