HW Upgrade from OVMS 2 to OVMS 3

Hello all, I have the opportunity to buy a v2 kit at a reasonable price, what is the parts needed to upgrade to v3? I am reasonably good with electronics so I can do soldering etc, but since I have never worked with OVMS before I am searching for some advice. 

The use-case is for a Nissan Leaf gen1, so I want to minimize my cost investment for now. The car will probably not live for "that" long. :P

The v2 and v3 hardware is

The v2 and v3 hardware is completely different. Apart from the vehicle cables and antennas, I doubt they share even one single component.
